Mom life can suck the life out of you, but what if it could be different?

COUNSELING FOR MOMS IN THE CLARKSVILLE AND NASHVILLE TENNESSEE AREA

They said it would be hard, but no one ever feels fully prepared for just how hard it actually is. Maybe you are comparing your life to other moms who seem to have it all together. Perhaps you are feeling guilty for not being as present as you think you should be and at the same time overwhelmed the times you are. No matter how hard you try it feels like you are never good enough and really just a “bad mom”.

Here is what I want you to know, what you are doing is hard, there is nothing wrong with you, and you are not alone!

HERE IS HOW I CAN HELP

  • VALIDATE your experience and struggles as a mom to know you are not alone or abnormal

  • IDENTIFY difficult thoughts, emotions and behaviors that are causing you to stay stuck

  • EQUIP you with practical tools to challenge unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

  • EMPOWER you to begin to become self-aware and then self-correct any unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

You May Be…

  • A military spouse who’s parenting solo

  • A new or seasoned mom who needs to learn to feed herself (or maybe eat a warm meal again)

  • A mom who’s adjusting to returning to work after maternity leave

  • A mom who’s struggling to balance all the responsibilities of home, work, and family life

  • Or a mom who has lost her identity as a woman.

As a mother of 3 myself I know how hard this motherhood thing can be. I understand first-hand what it’s like to be overwhelmed by the addition of a little one to your family. I have struggled myself with all the challenges of adjusting to becoming a mom to a tiny little human that completely depends on you. And it can be hard to open up and talk about how hard it actually is. I work to create a judgment-free environment where you can feel safe to talk about the hard stuff. During our time together, you will learn how to quiet the self-judgment and use tools to help you cope with anxiety.

I use my experiences as a mom and as a therapist to teach you tools you need to give you the relief you’re looking for and the support you need. We will consider the road ahead and help you find a way back to feeling like yourself again. You will learn practical tools and strategies to help you take care of yourself even in the busyness of this season where it feels like you have to put everyone else’s needs first.

I provide counseling for moms in the Clarksville and Nashville Tennessee area who are struggling with the stress of balancing mom life, postpartum anxiety, and difficult emotions and behaviors. I help moms implement practical solutions and healthy coping skills as well as teach them to set realistic expectations and boundaries to walk in freedom.
